Dave Woodfine
Co-founder and Managing Director
Before founding Cyber Security Associates, Dave served in the Royal Air Force for over 20 years as a senior engineering officer. This included a number of operational cyber security leadership positions, including the responsibility for the management and operation of the MOD’s Cyber Security Operations Centre (providing 24/7 cyber defence for over ½ million devices worldwide) and the military Cyber Unit embedded within GCHQ.
Alongside growing and building the CSA business and brand, Dave continues to provide strategic cyber consultancy advice and guidance, where he will take a business through the challenge of dealing with cyber security and the risks associated. He is able to map business requirements to information security, provide innovative processes, strategic recommendations and proposed solutions to enhance cyber security.
Dave is the Chairman of the Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Cyber Security Business Group, which provides advice and guidance to the business community in the county.

James Griffiths
Co-founder and Technical Director
James Griffiths is the co-founder and Technical Director of CSA and provides the direction and governance of all cyber technical and operational capabilities and services. James has worked within Cyber Security for over 15 years, which included a distinguished career as an Army Royal Signals Senior Operator, spending the last five years of service working as an Operator providing cyber offensive capability to the UK government.
James provides both on-site and virtual cyber technical advice and cyber response services to both large enterprises and SME’s. He stands out from the crowd thanks to his experience and knowledge in providing advice and solutions around all key cyber security areas. Additionally, James has developed and implemented a range of cyber educational packages for both Primary and Secondary schools in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre. James firmly believes in educating the younger generation to help enable them to grow, learn and adapt to the ever-changing cyber threat and technology landscape.

Phil Cordey
Head of Consultancy
Phil Cordey has over 20 years of experience in the Information and IT Security fields, holding leading roles in internationally renowned organisations throughout his career. Phil designed, built and managed the Security Operations Centre for the Bank of England and was the lead architect in the design of a European inter-bank network at the European Central Bank. At Herbert Smith Freehills his role encompassed governance of all elements of IT security across the Law Firm and he was responsible for embedding processes and documentation as the firm successfully gained ISO27001 certification.
At Inchcape, the leading global automotive distribution company, Phil was the Global CISO, responsible for all aspects of IT & Information Security for the business and its operations in over 30 countries. He was instrumental in building and embedding key security principles, as well as delivering the required security roadmap and solutions to help protect the global organisation from all types of cyber attacks throughout the supply chain.

Nabeil Samara
Commercial Director
Boasting over 22 years in IT Managed Services, Nabeil is a seasoned IT expert, and brings a wealth of experience to the CSA team. He started his career in telesales at a local telecoms company before quickly moving into the IT sector. He successfully led an MBO at Wirebird, ran a new managed service provider division at Timico, and headed up the Sales and Marketing team at Doherty Associates (a multiple Microsoft Gold Security Partner) before joining FluidOne in March 2021.
While working for FluidOne, Nabeil was responsible for extending the organisation’s Managed IT Services, catering to the modern workplace and guiding clients towards their world-class solutions. He played a key role in driving FluidOne towards its vision to become the UK’s leading Connected Cloud Solutions provider. Over the past few months, Nabeil has been working closely with Cyber Security Associates, and he recently joined the company full time as Commercial Director.

Russell joined the CSA Board in 2021, following investment from FluidOne where he serves as CEO. Russell joined FluidOne in April 2018 to lead the next stage of growth and development to see the company become the UK’s leading provider of connected cloud solutions. He has executive responsibility for the business and its management Board, strategy and future and a key part of this is its investment into and acquisition of complementary business that will fuel the connected cloud vision.
Russell has over 20 years’ experience in telecoms and IT, leading award-winning businesses that had strong customer service, market leading systems and platforms; growing them organically and through acquisitions, expanding their capabilities and offering a wider range of services and expertise to customers. In turn, simplifying supply, improving quality and ROI.
