With Phil Cordey on board, the company can further expand its consultancy offering to help customers navigate the daunting cyber security landscape guided by the right expertise.
Boasting over 20 years of experience in the information and IT Security fields, Phil has held leading roles in internationally renowned organisations throughout his career; and will add his invaluable knowledge to CSA’s consultancy team. His experience stems from his time working for the Bank of England, where he designed, built and managed the Security Operations Centre, as well as his role as the lead architect in the design of a European inter-bank network at the European Central Bank. Elsewhere, at Herbert Smith Freehills, Phil’s role encompassed governance of all IT security elements across the Law Firm, where he was responsible for embedding processes and documentation as the firm successfully gained ISO27001 certification. At Inchcape, the leading global automotive distribution company, Phil was the Global CISO, responsible for all aspects of IT & Information Security for the business and its operations in over 30 countries. He was instrumental in building and embedding key security principles, as well as delivering the required security roadmap and solutions to help protect the global organisation from all types of cyber attacks throughout the supply chain.
Commenting on the latest recruit, David Woodfine, Co-Founder and Managing Director at CSA, said:
The investment in CSA’s market-leading connected cyber solutions further enhances FluidOne’s already attractive Connected Cloud Solutions offering as part of its vision to become the best quality Connected Cloud Solutions Provider to UK Businesses. Complementing its connectivity services delivered via its award winning national fibre network Platform One, which helps customers deal with ever complex connectivity choices, FluidOne acquired PSU in October 2020 to add IT Managed Services and Unified Communications to its growing portfolio. The company’s investment in CSA now brings in Advanced Security to complete the Connected Cloud Solutions product set. Combining these services with the connectivity that FluidOne is best known for, will help customers create multi-cloud and multi-connected environments that are secure, safe and simple for them to use.
Commenting on the investment, FluidOne CEO, Russell Horton said:
“We’re very pleased to have someone with Phil’s experience bolster our team to lead and expand our consultancy arm as we embark on our next stage of growth. Having the support of FluidOne as strategic partners investing in the business has enabled us to fill a gap in the market to provide a true end-to-end cyber security managed service offering to our growing customer base. Phil’s notable background with internationally renowned organisations will support us as we build upon this world-class offering, and we look forward to working with him as we continue to scale the company.”
Phil Cordey added:
“It is a very exciting time to join CSA as they set out offer their customers new connected cyber solutions to help them navigate the changing cyber landscape. I am thrilled to be joining a team with impressive expertise and a robust skillset that they use to push the boundaries within the cyber security sector. I believe my background in managing the Security Operations Centre for the Bank of England and work at the European Central Bank will complement the existing consultancy team’s skills and put me in a strong position to support CSA’s growth.”
